Job summary

Care Initiatives is hiring a Licensed Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for our Dubuque Specialty Care community in Dubuque, IA, with full-time day shifts and every-other-weekend schedules. The role focuses on compassionate resident care, medication assistance, and daily living support across Iowa’s 40+ skilled nursing communities.

Qualified candidates will hold an active Iowa CNA and a valid Medication Aide certification or be able to activate them.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa or ability to activate.
• Valid certification as a Medication Aide in Iowa or ability to activate.
• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and medications.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Monitor health and conduct routine vital checks.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team.
• Encourage recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
