Job summary

CornerStone Medical is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Spicewood, TX. The role supports clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced clinic, with a schedule of Mon-Wed and Fri 8am-5pm. Compensation ranges from $19 to $21 per hour with a temporary-to-permanent path.

The candidate will prepare exam rooms, record vital signs, educate patients, manage EMR documentation, and assist with billing and prior authorizations. CPR/BLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CMA through AAMA, AMT, or equivalent accreditation preferred.
• Proficient in EMR systems Mod Med, EMMA preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA and clinic protocols.
• Take and record vital signs, patient history, and chief complaints.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
• Manage specimen collection and prepare samples for lab analysis.
• Apply and remove dressings and sutures.
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate concerns to the provider.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Maintain accurate EMR records and process prescriptions and prior authorizations.
• Assist with billing, insurance verification, and patient documentation.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
