Role

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide/Tech (CMA/CMT) to join our team. The CMA/CMT is responsible for passing medication under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse and providing direct, hands-on care to residents.

Responsibilities

• Pass medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders and facility policy under the supervision of the Charge Nurse.
• Report changes in resident’s condition immediately to the Charge Nurse.
• Review Tenant Service Plans to stay informed about tenant needs and preferences.
• Review the Staff 24-Hour Communication log and Tenant Service Notes daily for updates.
• Provide personal services to tenants as assigned and indicated on their Service Plans.
• Assist tenants with medications and treatments as allowed by regulation.
• Respond promptly to emergency call system alerts.
• Follow infection control procedures diligently.
• Assist during meal times in the dining room.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment through housekeeping as needed.
• Support tenants in social and recreational activities, encouraging participation.
• Monitor tenant needs, preferences, and health status, reporting any changes.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies based on training.

Qualifications

The candidate must have completed an approved training program and passed competency exams to obtain certification as both a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA).
