Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain patient records and perform a wide variety of clinical nursing support tasks.
• Prep patients for exams, perform basic lab tests, and obtain medical histories.
• Assist physicians or other healthcare team members with treatment/protocol completion and to perform simple, non-invasive patient procedures according to applicable policy or protocol.
• Respond to the needs of patients across the age spectrum from newborn through geriatric; perform clerical and/or lab duties as requested.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Currently certified as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required. If certified by another accrediting agency, AAMA or NHA certification must be obtained within six (6) months of employment.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment.
