Job Location: Fellowship Carolina Park - Mount Pleasant, SC 29466

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and assist PCAs to ensure the quality of resident care meets the standards of Fellowship Home and the expectations of residents at all times.
  • Ensure the daily routine for each PCA is completed and implemented.
  • Maintain a highly motivated, well‑trained staff and effective employee relations; communicate effectively with all employees to ensure a positive and clear understanding of goals and direction.
  • Assist with the operational effectiveness of the medication room, med carts, and personal care stations, ensuring appropriate medications, wound care supplies, and treatment supplies are present and delivered to residents appropriately. Keep medication room, med carts, and personal care stations clean and orderly and maintain proper quantity of needed medications in stock.
  • Become proficient with the use of the internal Resident Manager system, EMAR, and communication log while maintaining other records to track incidents, illnesses, and happenings concerning residents and staff.
  • Administer medications assigned during the shift and PRN medications indicated and/or requested by residents.
  • Maintain understanding and awareness of the Department of Community Health’s Healthcare Facility Regulation Division’s Rules and Regulations for Assisted Living Communities, interpret them appropriately, and apply them to effectively achieve and maintain operational effectiveness within scope of responsibilities.
  • Ensure the LPN Floor Nurse and/or DRC is kept fully informed on the condition and operations of the community and important factors affecting any operations.
Qualifications

CMA license is required. At least two years of documented experience in the healthcare industry is preferred. Must have strong leadership skills, compassion, and a desire to serve senior adults.

Physical Requirements
  1. Body positions: sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling.
  2. Body movements: lift (at least 35 lbs with or without assistance), bend torso, reach, turn head and torso, and/or push (at least 100 lbs with or without assistance) for up to 12‑hour intervals.
  3. Body senses: must have adequate use of eyes and ears; adequate power of speech.
Mental Requirements
  1. Reading: must be able to read and comprehend written instructions pertaining to the care and oversight of residents; must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with peers and supervisors.
  2. Language: must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, well enough to give instructions, relay information, and carry on effective interchange with staff and residents.
  3. Social: must be able to relate well with others and provide a non‑hostile workplace as well as receive direction from peers and supervisors with a positive attitude.
