Job summary

Cynet Health in New Hampshire seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse and Certified Medical Assistant to join our behavioral health team. This full-time day-shift role requires clinical support under supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will perform blood draws, injections, immunizations, room preparation, charting, and patient instructions, while maintaining confidentiality and a calm, caring demeanor.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Must maintain certification as a Medical Assistant.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, injections, child immunizations, lab tests, and other procedures within MA scope.
• Assist the physician in examinations, taking vitals (BP, pulse, temp) and related tasks.
• Keep rooms clean and stocked with necessary supplies; manage patient calls and instructions.
• Assist with medical records, referrals, lab slips, and documentation; support the workflow and patient flow.

Description:The Certified Medical Assistant (Behavioral Health) performs clinical support procedures under the direct supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician.This job description does not imply that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.The employee will be required to follow any other instructions and perform any other duties requested by their supervisor.The Medical Assistant should reflect, through personal appearance and attitudes, the professional nature of the office.Cleanliness, neatness, ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner, a caring nature, and a genuine enjoyment of patients are required personal qualities for this position.Due to the nature of the work, emotional stability is also required.Must be aware of the need for discretion and the importance of keeping all matters related to the practice and its patients confidential.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Perform blood draws, injections, child immunizations, lab tests, and any other procedures pertinent to the practice and within the scope of Medical Assistant certification.Assist the physician in examinations, which may include taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.Keep rooms cleaned and stocked with necessary supplies.Take and return patient phone calls as directed by the physician.Give instructions to patients as instructed by the physician.Requisition supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock.Assist with the maintenance of the medical record, including the completion of referral forms, lab slips, and other pertinent documentation as requested by the physician.Help patients getting to and from exam rooms, preparing for exams as requested, and during procedures.Assist with any nursing procedure as directed by the physician.Work as a member of a team and be flexible.Assist in other areas as requested by the Manager or Clinical Coordinator, operating within the guidelines of Medical Assistant certification.
