Responsibilities

Summary

Responsible for stocking grocery product per established merchandising procedures during the overnight hours while maintaining expected productivity levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicates daily with Stock Controller to review nightly goals and tasks.
• Keeps department clean and well organized (including back room and shelves).
• Stocks shelves, refills displays, and performs overall recovery.
• Executes proper recovery of department.
• Ensures compliance with established SOPs, including proper product handling, rotation, and storage.
• Loads, unloads, and moves heavy, bulky products.
• Works efficiently to maintain productivity standards.
• Reports equipment issues to the Stock Controller or Overnight Operations Manager.

Education and Experience Preferred

• 3-6 months minimum prior stocking experience required.
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, with basic English reading and writing skills.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Experience working as part of a team.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work overnight schedule.
• Able to operate pallet jack/baler; forklift/powerjack training preferred.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, confined spaces, chemicals, and airborne particles.
• Moderate noise level.
• Lift up to 75 lbs. individually; team-lifting for heavier loads.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, squat, stand, and walk for long periods.
• Push/pull heavy loads of 75 lbs.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with productivity requirements.
