Job summary

AVT Simulation is seeking a Corporate CM/DM Manager with comprehensive knowledge of configuration management for DoD simulation and training programs. You will develop and maintain CM documentation, establish baselines, track changes, and collaborate with Engineering on hardware drawings and software builds.

You will ensure all projects adhere to CM/DM processes, perform audits, and guide staff in policy compliance. A bachelor's degree and CM/DM experience in a DoD environment are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field; substitutions: eight years of professional CM/DM experience.
• At least 1 year of configuration/change management experience in DoD simulation training software development.
• Knowledge of CMMI and ISO 9001.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain configuration management processes and use tools for configuration control and change management.
• Follow and enforce CM policies and practices.
• Educate staff on configuration policies and practices.
• Maintain CM plans and procedures and update as necessary.
• Analyze and resolve configuration problems promptly.
• Communicate discrepancies to management for resolution.
• Approve CM solutions that meet customer requirements when deviation occurs.
• Plan and coordinate system configuration activities for timely completion.
• Develop process improvements to enhance configuration efficiency.
• Determine configuration requirements and develop system configuration procedures.
• Manage program CM managers executing system configuration per customer needs.
• Assist in configuration audits and implement audit recommendations.
