Central Market aims to unite families and communities through food, serving as a marketplace for goods, services, and ideas.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Representative, your responsibilities include:

• Stocking and selling products to retail customers, both new and existing
• Ordering products to maximize sales
• Merchandising, fronting, and selling products
• Providing excellent customer service
• Organizing, cleaning, and preparing the back area for deliveries
• Keeping the sales floor tidy and free from spills
• Stocking and rotating items as needed
• Resetting products and maintaining shelf conditions, including signage
• Checking shipments for out-of-date or damaged products to ensure quality
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations regarding product freshness, safety, and sanitation
• Maintaining standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control
• Assisting in merchandising to maximize sales
• Using suggestive selling techniques to increase sales

Experience and Education: Typically requires 0-2 years of experience. Knowledge of department products, food preparation, and equipment is preferred. Extensive knowledge of specialty foods and food preparation is essential. Strong customer service skills, a passion for food, and materials handling certification are advantageous. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in extreme temperatures.

Physical Requirements: Ability to manage weights of 25-50 lbs.
