Job Overview

This role involves ordering ingredients for all Chef Prepared sub-departments, including the coffee bar, gelato, and café (excluding Beer and Wine). Responsibilities include managing orders through various methods, maintaining inventory levels, working with vendors, and tracking purchases using multiple tools and reports. The position requires close collaboration with the Executive Chef and Supply Chain partners to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Order ingredients via phone, website, CM Order Portal, email, Telxon, and in-store transfers.
• Maintain raw ingredient inventory, determine par levels based on vendor service, shelf life, and promotions.
• Manage inventory to meet kitchen needs, minimize spoilage, and prevent stockouts.
• Coordinate with vendors and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues.
• Track purchases using BI Reports, Invoice Reports, and other tools.
• Make ordering decisions based on Division Order Guide, Cbord, and daily partner visits.
• Manage purchases within budget constraints.
• Communicate supply, cost, and out-of-stock issues to partners and resolve using secondary vendors.
• Ensure proper Food and Safety Certifications.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of Chef Prepared products, ingredients, food prep, and safety standards.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Self-motivated with a sense of urgency.
• Experience with HEB systems (W701, WII), MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Food Safety Certification preferred.
