Job summary

Levy Sector is seeking a results-driven Food-Service Supervisor to lead a team of food-service associates, ensuring high-quality service and strict adherence to policies and procedures.

You will supervise daily operations, train staff, monitor waste, uphold HACCP and safety standards, and support management in delivering exceptional guest experiences while pursuing advancement opportunities within the department.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) year leadership experience.
• Minimum of two (2) year of high-volume food-service industry.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and prep list accurately
• Understand of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Basic knowledge of food prep, plating, kitchen safety, and sanitation
• Strong work ethic, organization, and attention to detail
• Willingness to grow into a leadership role; prior supervisor experience is a plus
• Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
• Advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
• Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Operates and cleans equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy; maintains established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Operates food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
• H elps serves meals; remains present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
