Job summary

The Boys’ Club of New York Inc is seeking a Maintenance Worker to maintain and care for clubhouse facilities and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and related maintenance tasks. The role requires lifting 50 pounds or more and performing daily cleaning around the Clubhouse.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum four years’ experience in cleaning and skilled maintenance.
Able to lift 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled maintenance in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and related areas.
Participate in annual clubhouse cleaning, painting, and end-of-summer repairs.
Paint and repair equipment as assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent.
Report damages to the physical plant to the Maintenance Superintendent immediately.
Attend Clubhouse and Agency-wide staff meetings as required.
Clean furniture, bathrooms, windows, floors, and equipment; remove trash.
Complete external maintenance tasks and preventive work inside and outside the Clubhouse.
