Job summary

Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club seeks a dedicated maintenance professional to perform and supervise repairs of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and building systems across the clubhouse. Responsibilities include pool maintenance, equipment upkeep, and coordinating with contractors, while upholding OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School education or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Post-secondary vocational/technical training in electrical engineering, HVAC or refrigeration preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• Two years or more of maintenance experience in an institutional or business setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems and building structures of the club.
• Maintains equipment of the club property.
• Maintains pool filtration and water quality; logs water test results for health department inspections.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance per club procedures.
• Installs tile, drywall; performs grout repairs, patches walls and surfaces.
• Completes other assignments by the Director of Facility Maintenance.
• Monitors work by outside contractors and communicates status to the Director of Facility Maintenance.
• Inspects rooms and public spaces to replace light bulbs, lamps and switches.
• Maintains safety program in line with OSHA standards.
