Job Summary

Summary: Assists the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking foods, coordinates activities of kitchen staff, and assumes responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Cook and prepare food following recipes and standards, ensuring deadlines are met.
  2. Supervise food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, training, and counseling.
  3. Store food properly, following safety and sanitation procedures.
  4. Ensure proper food handling, presentation, and temperature maintenance.
  5. Maintain sanitation of equipment and work areas.
  6. Interact with customers to resolve complaints and relay information to supervisors.
  7. Understand and explain menu items to associates and customers.
  8. Manage peak production and service hours effectively.
  9. Monitor inventory, deliveries, and waste, informing supervisors of low supplies.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
