Job Summary
The Club Attendant will enhance member satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service and performing maintenance and cleaning tasks to maintain a healthy, clean, and orderly facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and dust walls, mirrors, countertops, glass, and windows.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors across all club areas, including locker rooms, weight and cardio areas, hallways, stairs, and offices.
- Clean and dust all weight and cardio equipment.
- Restock supplies as needed.
- Empty garbage and recycling containers.
- Complete daily and weekly assigned tasks.
- Perform special cleaning projects as assigned.
- Maintain wet areas of the club, such as pool decks, pools, steam rooms, and saunas, including chemical testing (note: not all clubs have wet areas).
- Perform minor cosmetic repairs on equipment, such as rust removal, touch-up paint, and relabeling.
- Collaborate with Facility Technicians on equipment cleaning and maintenance.
- Perform minor painting tasks as directed by management.
- Use janitorial supplies per product labels and club manuals.
- Report facility issues via Service Channel.
- Address member complaints to the General Manager.
Organization Relationships
Partner with the Facilities Technician and report to the General Manager. Interact regularly with club management, team members, and members.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of cleaning practices and procedures.
- Ability to follow written instructions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to establish cooperative relationships.
Minimum Educational Level/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum Work Experience
- At least six months of janitorial experience.
Physical Demands & Environmental Conditions
- Regularly stand, walk, and use hands and arms.
- Frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lift up to 25 pounds regularly; occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
- Use of cleaning chemicals, ladders, and utensils.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasionally loud environments.
Travel Requirement
Travel between clubs may be required.
