Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record and a willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid within 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the Club while maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, supervise, coach, and develop Club staff; foster a positive work culture.
  • Ensure high-quality programs aligned with priorities and youth development outcomes; monitor participation and engagement.
  • Develop strategies to recruit, retain, and re-engage youth and families; build partnerships with schools and community organizations.
  • Monitor performance via attendance, safety, and youth outcomes; support budget management and reporting.
  • Build meaningful relationships with youth; promote safety, leadership, healthy lifestyles, and academic success.

CLUB DIRECTOR

Department: Operations & Programs

Reports To: Area Director or Designated Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non Exempt

Schedule: Part Time 20-29 hours a week

Location: Pawl Club

Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00 per Hour

POSITION SUMMARY

The Club Director serves as the leader of the Club and is responsible for the overall success of daily operations, staff leadership, member experience, program quality, safety, and community engagement. This role creates a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where youth are supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Working in partnership with organizational leadership, the Club Director is accountable for achieving goals related to membership growth, attendance, program quality, youth outcomes, staff development, and overall Club performance. As the face of the Club, the Director builds strong relationships with youth, families, schools, community partners, and supporters while ensuring the Club reflects the mission and values of Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County.

CLUB LEADERSHIP & OPERATIONS
  • Lead the daily operations of the Club while maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, licensing requirements, and safety standards.
  • Manage daily schedules, staffing, facility operations, and program flow.
  • Resolve operational challenges and implement solutions that support a high-quality Club Experience.
  • Maintain accountability for Club resources, equipment, and facilities.
  • Support organizational initiatives and strategic priorities.
STAFF LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, supervise, coach, and develop Club staff.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work culture.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and support professional development.
  • Model professionalism, collaboration, accountability, and positive leadership.
PROGRAM QUALITY & MEMBER EXPERIENCE
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality programs aligned with Boys & Girls Clubs priorities and youth development outcomes.
  • Monitor program participation, engagement, and effectiveness while continuously improving quality.
  • Support programming in Education, The Arts, Leadership & Service, Sports & Recreation, and Health & Wellness.
  • Create a Club culture where every member feels safe, welcomed, valued, and connected.
  • Promote positive behavior through relationship-based and developmentally appropriate practices.
MEMBERSHIP & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
  • Develop strategies to recruit, retain, and re-engage youth and families.
  • Monitor membership, attendance, and Average Daily Attendance goals.
  • Build partnerships with schools, families, businesses, and community organizations.
  • Represent Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County at community events and outreach opportunities.
  • Strengthen family engagement and community awareness of Club programs.
PERFORMANCE, BUDGET & ADMINISTRATION
  • Monitor Club performance using attendance, participation, safety, and youth outcome data.
  • Develop action plans to improve performance and achieve organizational goals.
  • Assist with budget management and responsible use of Club resources.
  • Complete required reports, documentation, and administrative responsibilities accurately and on time.
  • Support grant requirements, special projects, organizational initiatives, and special events.
  • Work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
  • Build meaningful relationships with youth and serve as a positive role model.
  • Foster an environment that supports physical, emotional, and psychological safety.
  • Encourage leadership, character development, healthy lifestyles, and academic success.
  • Ensure every young person has opportunities to grow, belong, and succeed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of two years of leadership experience in youth development, education, recreation, nonprofit, or a related field.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • CPR/First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, Recreation, Psychology, Business, Nonprofit Management, Youth Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible leadership experience.
