UC San Diego is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in a busy hospital lab. You will evaluate results, run quality controls, and ensure timely lab services while delivering superior customer support.
The role requires a California CLS license and a related degree or equivalent experience, with experience in clinical laboratory operations and safety compliance across shifts as needed.
Under general supervision, performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures; performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Serves as a technical resource for customers and other staff. Adheres to all safety policies. Performs other related CLS functions as required.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $124,278 - $124,278 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $59.52 - $59.52
