Job summary

Arcova seeks a Cloud Transformation Engineer to drive large-scale migrations across cloud and data center environments. You will assess existing infrastructure, craft migration strategies, and execute complex transformations in AWS, Azure, and on-premises data centers.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on cloud engineering experience, strong Linux/Windows and VMware skills, and a track record of delivering resilient, scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience executing infrastructure and/or application migrations in large enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: compute, storage, networking, and database.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure: compute, storage, networking, and database services.
• Strong understanding of traditional data center infrastructure and hosting environments.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux, Windows Server, and VMware.
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage technologies.
• Experience with enterprise networking and firewall technologies.
• Knowledge of infrastructure dependencies and migrations across data centers, private infrastructure, and public cloud.
• Experience supporting mission-critical applications: resilience, availability, DR/recoverability.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and delivery frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze infrastructure across regional and edge data centers to identify cloud migration opportunities.
• Plan and execute migrations across AWS, Azure, and data centers with dependencies, security, and recoverability in mind.
• Support migration of applications and infrastructure from legacy environments to modern cloud platforms.
• Assess infrastructure to address technology debt from OS and infrastructure layers upward.
• Remediate technology debt through upgrades and modernization activities.
• Support uplift of infrastructure hosting mission-critical applications for resilience and availability.
• Design and implement solutions across cloud compute, storage, networking, and database environments.
• Collaborate with SAN/NAS, networking, firewall, security, and DB teams on complex transformations.
• Create migration sequences, cutover plans, rollback strategies, and implementation plans.
• Troubleshoot issues during migration and coordinate remediation across teams.
• Work across multiple teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive transformation initiatives.
• Participate in Agile delivery: sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, retros, iterative delivery.
• Produce migration plans, architecture diagrams, and operational handover docs.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, operations, and resiliency requirements.

Cloud Transformation Engineer We are seeking an experienced Cloud Transformation Engineer to support a portfolio of large‑scale infrastructure transformation initiatives across cloud, data center, and enterprise technology environments. This role will focus on assessing existing infrastructure, developing migration approaches, and executing complex technology transformations across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and traditional data center environments.

The Cloud Transformation Engineer will contribute across several major workstreams, including data center transformation, legacy cloud migration, technology debt remediation, and the uplift of infrastructure supporting mission‑critical applications. The ideal candidate combines strong hands‑on infrastructure and cloud engineering experience with a proven track record of executing migrations in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze infrastructure hosted across regional and edge data centers and identify opportunities to migrate workloads to public cloud platforms and enterprise data centers.
• Plan and execute infrastructure and application migrations across AWS, Azure, and traditional data center environments, ensuring appropriate consideration of dependencies, availability, security, performance, and recoverability.
• Support the migration of applications and infrastructure from legacy AWS and Azure environments into modern enterprise cloud environments.
• Assess existing infrastructure and identify opportunities to address technology debt from the operating system and infrastructure layers upward.
• Remediate technology debt through upgrades, platform modernization, infrastructure replacement, configuration changes, and migration activities.
• Support the uplift of infrastructure hosting mission‑critical applications, with a focus on improving resilience, availability, recoverability, and operational stability.
• Design and implement solutions across cloud compute, storage, networking, and database environments.
• Work with data center technologies including Red Hat Linux, Windows Server, and VMware to assess, migrate, modernize, and remediate infrastructure.
• Collaborate with teams responsible for SAN/NAS storage, networking, firewalls, security, databases, and application infrastructure to execute complex transformation initiatives.
• Analyze application and infrastructure dependencies to develop migration sequences, cutover plans, rollback strategies, and implementation plans.
• Troubleshoot technical issues encountered during migration and transformation activities and coordinate remediation across infrastructure and application teams.
• Work across multiple technical teams, suppliers, business units, and stakeholders to drive transformation initiatives through planning, execution, and stabilization.
• Participate in an Agile delivery environment, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and iterative delivery.
• Produce technical documentation, migration plans, implementation procedures, architecture diagrams, and operational handover documentation.
• Ensure transformation activities align with enterprise architecture, security, operational, and resiliency requirements.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience executing infrastructure and/or application migrations in large enterprise environments. Migration experience is essential.
• Hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly cloud compute, storage, networking, and database services.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly cloud compute, storage, networking, and database services.
• Strong understanding of traditional data center infrastructure and hosting environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Red Hat Linux, Windows Server, and VMware.
• Experience working with or alongside SAN and NAS storage technologies.
• Experience working with enterprise networking and firewall technologies.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure dependencies and the considerations involved in migrating workloads between data centers, private infrastructure, and public cloud.
• Experience supporting infrastructure for mission‑critical applications, including initiatives focused on resilience, availability, disaster recovery, or recoverability.
• Experience identifying and remediating technology debt, legacy infrastructure, and outdated operating systems or platforms.
• Experience working in highly complex enterprise environments involving multiple suppliers, business units, technology teams, and stakeholders.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies and delivery frameworks.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
