Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is building a central pipeline of Software Development Engineer (SDE) talent for anticipated roles in 2026. This requisition covers multiple SDE tracks across Embedded, Cloud, AI, and more.

As an AWS SDE in Cupertino, you design, develop, and maintain scalable code, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help drive performance improvements while mentoring peers and contributing to a strong engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 3+ years of building complex software systems experience.
• 2+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Implement complex software solutions that meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews to provide technical guidance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancement.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a strong engineering culture.
