Job summary

CSS Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to perform advanced systems administration, configuration and troubleshooting across LANs to enterprise WANs in the USA.

Responsibilities include supporting infrastructure, security enhancements, cross-team collaboration, and project rollout across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate has a BS in CS or related field, 3–10 years of experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred) and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent management and communication skills.
• Experience in administration, configuration and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure.
• Azure experience preferred but not required.
• Strong cloud networking, systems and security expertise.
• Geospatial software experience preferred.
• On-site government agency support experience preferred.
• Ability to pass National Agency Check (NACI).

Responsibilities

• Perform systems administration, configuration and troubleshooting for hardware and software.
• Support physical infrastructure and equipment selection for interoperability.
• Implement network modifications and security enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-organizational teams.
• May lead teams and working groups to develop solutions.
• Develop and support technical infrastructure for projects.
• Install, maintain and support system software/hardware and user support.
• Troubleshoot complex problems with minimal guidance.
• Roll out engineering, configuration, debugging and support for multiple platforms.
• Monitor and tune platforms for availability and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and team members.
