Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join FAST within Hardware Engineering Services. You will design, develop, and maintain services and infrastructure that enable hardware and firmware delivery to AWS data centers worldwide.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and help scale systems across multiple regions, influencing the technical direction in a large organization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
• 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage and operating systems.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, OS).
• Experience programming in at least one modern language (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain services, systems and operational infrastructure to enable hardware and firmware delivery to AWS data centers globally.
• Collaborate with cross-functional product verticals and firmware teams to solve complex technical problems and drive scalable system designs.
• Stand up operational infrastructure to manage services and systems at scale across multiple geographical regions.
