Cloud Systems Architect

We are seeking a Cloud Systems Architect with experience in cloud infrastructure to engineer and support public, private, and hybrid clouds. The ideal candidate will be proficient in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

1. The candidate should be knowledgeable about recent updates and developments in cloud management strategies, acting as an advisor to our customers on leveraging cloud benefits such as workload flexibility, scalable workstations, and cost efficiency.
2. Collaborate with the IT Security team to manage and maintain cloud system security for data and network resources.
3. Engineer applications and systems on customer premises interconnected with cloud resources.
4. Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
5. Determine system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and security.
6. Coordinate subsystem design and system integration, analyzing and resolving support deficiencies.
7. Develop and recommend corrective actions.
8. Provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Experience with cloud computing technologies and migration of applications to the cloud.
2. Ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
3. Knowledge of integrating services and tools across networks and data processing areas.
4. Implement security information and event management to protect assets.
5. Experience meeting or exceeding cloud provider SLAs, particularly with AWS and Azure.
6. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PHP, Java, Node.js, and Ruby on Rails.
7. Typically, a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent.
