Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co is looking for a Cloud Systems Architect to engineer and support cloud infrastructures including public, private, and hybrid clouds. Candidates should have experience with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

The ideal candidate will also engage in security management, design complex systems, coordinate integration, and provide technical guidance. Attractive benefits are offered including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

Cloud Systems Architect

Employment Type: Full‑Time, Mid‑level
Department: Information Technology

We are seeking a Cloud Systems Architect with experience in cloud infrastructure to engineer and support public, private and hybrid clouds. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure at a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Act as an advisor to customers regarding cloud management strategies and recent developments.
• Work with the IT Security team to manage and maintain the security of cloud systems, data and network resources.
• Engineer on customer‑premise applications and systems interconnected to cloud resources.
• Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.
• Determine systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and system security maintenance.
• Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of the total system, identifying, analyzing, and resolving program support deficiencies.
• Develop and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience and comprehensive understanding of the technology required for cloud computing.
• Ability to migrate applications to the cloud.
• Strong relationship‑building skills between customers and team members.
• Knowledge of integrating services and tools across networks and data processing.
• Experience implementing security information and event management to protect customer assets.
• Experience meeting or exceeding cloud provider service‑level agreements (AWS and Azure).
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, PHP, Java, Node.js, and Ruby on Rails.
• Typically a Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent.
