Addison Group is seeking a Cloud & Systems Administrator to support the daily operations of the organization's cloud infrastructure and IT environment in Houston, TX. Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent practical experience in IT.
• 1-2 years IT support or sysadmin experience, cloud exposure preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Basic PowerShell scripting and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with IAM, provisioning, permissions, and authentication.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization and documentation skills.
• Clear communicator and collaborative with IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Azure infrastructure, VMs, storage, networking, and enterprise apps.
• Manage IAM with Entra ID, user provisioning, MFA, CA policies, SSO integrations.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot connectivity, support DR and security initiatives.
• Configure virtual networks, DNS, VPN, firewall rules, SSL certificates.
• Assist with cloud automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Azure CLI.
• Support Fabric administration, workspace permissions, service principals, data integrations.
• Maintain 365 and SharePoint environments, including permissions and migrations.
• Manage Intune and Autopilot for devices, enrollment, deployment, compliance, patches.
• Assist with cloud printing, device connectivity, and other collaboration tools.
• Provide Tier 1/2 support for hardware, software, access, and network issues.
• Develop and maintain technical docs, SOPs, and internal knowledge bases.
• Collaborate with senior IT to implement infrastructure improvements and security.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 / year

About The Role

We are seeking a Cloud & Systems Administrator to support the daily operations of an organization's cloud infrastructure and IT environment. This position offers hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, identity management, networking, and cloud automation while working alongside senior IT leadership. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of IT support or systems administration experience and is eager to expand their technical expertise. This role combines cloud administration with traditional IT support, providing opportunities to take ownership of infrastructure projects while developing advanced cloud engineering skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, enterprise applications, and cloud resources.
• Support identity and access management through Microsoft Entra ID, including user provisioning, security groups, MFA, Conditional Access policies, and SSO integrations.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and assist with backup, disaster recovery, and security initiatives.
• Configure and troubleshoot virtual networks, DNS, VPN connectivity, firewall rules, domains, and SSL/TLS certificates.
• Assist with cloud automation and scripting using PowerShell, Bash, or Azure CLI to improve operational efficiency.
• Support Microsoft Fabric administration, including workspace permissions, managed identities, service principals, and data platform integrations.
• Maintain Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments, including user permissions, document libraries, external sharing, storage management, and migrations.
• Manage endpoint configurations through Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot, including device enrollment, application deployment, compliance policies, and patch management.
• Assist with cloud printing solutions, device connectivity, and administration of additional collaboration platforms.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, account access, and network connectivity issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and internal knowledge base resources.
• Collaborate with senior IT team members to implement infrastructure improvements, strengthen security, and streamline IT operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration, preferably with exposure to cloud environments.
• Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Azure and familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Basic PowerShell scripting experience and an understanding of networking concepts, DNS, and SSL/TLS certificates.
• Familiarity with identity and access management, including user provisioning, permissions, and authentication.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to maintaining accurate technical documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and provide effective support to employees across an organization.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and develop cloud administration expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot in a production environment.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Entra ID, or Google Workspace administration.
• Familiarity with SFTP, OpenSSL, Bash, Azure CLI, or cloud automation.
• Experience supporting SharePoint administration, Azure networking, or enterprise application integrations.
