Job summary

ACME IT Corp. seeks a Cloud Architect to deploy new cloud solutions across production, staging, and test environments. You will plan scalable infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure minimal downtime while maintaining thorough documentation for handoff to the application team.

Required: deep knowledge of AWS/OpenStack/Azure, Linux/Windows workloads, DevOps, and container tech including Kubernetes. Twelve years of experience and relevant certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cloud solutions including AWS, OpenStack and Azure.
• Experience with Linux and Windows workloads using automation (CloudFormation, OpsWorks, Ansible, Chef, Docker).
• 12+ years of related work experience with minimal supervision.
• Production experience with container management systems (Kubernetes, EKS).
• Active cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, OpenStack).
• Experience with GitHub and collaboration tools.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• The architect will be responsible for deployment of new solutions into existing cloud resources or off-premise infrastructure.
• Must Possess Strong knowledge of a wide range of cloud services and solutions like AWS, OpenStack and Microsoft Azure products.Should be able to develop with a DevOps approach for both Linux and Windows workloads using proven, cutting‑edge cloud technologies including automation with Amazon Cloudformation,OpsWorks, Ansible, Chef, and Docker.
• Must be able to deploy new cloud production, staging, and test environment.
• Responsible for all aspects of integration and deployment to include, Infrastructure and application deployment, load testing, and disaster recovery.
• Must take planning seriously and strive for a seamless transition with little to no downtime.
• Should be able to identify the most agile, scalable infrastructure, and select the best cloud services and technologies for customer projects and plan all implementation procedures.
• Should be able to automate and deploy cloud infrastructures.
• Is responsible for full documentation of the cloud infrastructure to enable a smooth handoff to application team.
• Should have experience writing software scripts using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby.
• Demonstrated experience planning and implementing Infrastructure as a Service (IaA) and Platform as a Service (Paas) using tools like OpenStack, Eucalyptus, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.

Requirements

• Strong Knowledge of cloud solutions included but not limited to AWS, Openstack, and Microsoft Azure products.
• Experience building cloud applications for performance, resiliency, availability, and scale.
• Demonstrate experience with Linux and Windows workload using cloud technologies with automation including Amazon CloudFormation, OpsWorks, Ansible, Chef, and Docker.
• Shall have a minimum of Twelve (12) years of related work experience, must work with little to no prescriptive guidance.
• Experience with container management systems (k8, EKS) in production.
• Must possess one active Mid-Level or advanced cloud certification (i.e., AWS, Azure, Open stack.
• Experience with GitHub.
• Four (4) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related technical discipline.
