Job summary

The AES Group seeks a Cloud Support Engineer to support secure, cloud-based silicon design environments for external customers. This hybrid role in San Jose, CA emphasizes responsiveness and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will maintain Linux cloud environments, monitor HPC performance, and automate recurring tasks using Python, shell, or Perl while ensuring ITAR/CUI compliance and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in cloud-based HPC and silicon design environments.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication.
• Familiarity with ITAR/CUI data handling and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical support contact for external customers using secure cloud-based silicon design platforms.
• Deliver timely, responsive, and high-quality support, communicating clearly and resolving issues effectively.
• Maintain Linux-based cloud environments and ensure availability and reliability of secure multi-tenant platforms.
• Monitor HPC cluster performance, job throughput, and queue health; troubleshoot issues and optimize configurations.
• Assist with license management, including checkout and usage monitoring.
• Develop automation to streamline recurring tasks using Python, shell scripting, or Perl.
• Follow security, access control, auditing, and change-management processes; contribute to runbooks and documentation.
• Support ITAR/CUI compliant environments and participate in incident response.
