Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Cloud Security Consultant to facilitate security initiatives and remediate vulnerabilities in collaboration with application teams. You will help develop policies and guide development teams in implementing secure solutions to meet enterprise security requirements.

The role emphasizes risk tracking, threat modeling, and staying current with security procedures and technology controls, including testing and data handling practices.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years IT security operations experience.
• Experience with Prisma Cloud toolset (Redlock, Twistlock, PureSec).
• Experience with ServiceNow.
• Professional information security certification (CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, GISCP, GWAPT, GWEB etc).
• Excellent written and verbal communications; ability to explain technical security concepts to non-security audiences.
• Strong understanding of information security technologies.
• Additional Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS).
• Web services security and secure SDLC practices.

Job DescriptionCandidate Responsibilities

The Cloud security consultant is responsible for facilitating security efforts and remediating security vulnerabilities partnering with app teams to identify gaps and remediate security issues. Security Engineers will help develop policies and assist development teams in implementing solutions to close those security gaps and make services compliant to enterprise security requirements.

Typical Day

• Keep development teams accountable to metrics measuring risk
• Understand security requirements and risk tolerance baselines
• Track existing risk statements and work with risk owners to close gaps
• Maintain current knowledge on existing security procedures, directives and technology controls including application testing, threat modeling, attack and penetration testing, data classification and data handling

Education Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
