Job summary

Amazon seeks an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to design and migrate complex workloads to the AWS Cloud, balancing technical trade-offs with customer outcomes.

You will collaborate with sales and professional services to drive adoption, articulate technical strategies to executives, and deliver reusable reference architectures. This role requires strong communication and deep cloud expertise to lead across teams, with some regional travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions for complex customer requirements, making technical trade-offs and evaluating architectures for scale while ensuring solutions are extensible, reusable, secure, reliable, cost-optimized, and performant.
• Build and maintain relationships with customer senior leaders, understanding their business objectives and technical challenges to influence strategic direction and ensure technology decisions will meet long-term business outcomes.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences, creating technical content that is easily adopted and reusable by others while harmonizing discordant views to build consensus.
• Lead technical discussions and dive deeply into technical details with customer teams across application architecture, system design, and implementation considerations, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities.
• Drive effective customer feedback gathering, distilling and translating feedback into clear business and technical requirements for product and engineering teams while contributing to reference designs and reusable artifacts.
