Cloud Solution Architect - Direct-Hire/FTE - Remote (US-CST/EST)

Title: Cloud Solution Architect

Location: Remote (US-CST/EST)

Compensation: $145,000-155,000 Annual Base Salary Range

Join a cutting-edge digital transformation team at one of the world's most advanced industrial and aerospace innovators. This is a rare opportunity to lead impactful cloud migration work with global reach, high visibility, and significant career growth potential.

Seeking two experienced Cloud Solution Architects to join a critical enterprise-wide application migration initiative. These professionals will serve as key technical leaders supporting the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-native and hybrid architectures.

This program spans across cybersecurity, cloud, identity, development tools, and enterprise infrastructure, with a total of 12 Solution Architects contributing their domain expertise. These Cloud Architects will play a pivotal role in designing and guiding cloud architecture and services migration in collaboration with global application teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect cloud-based solutions and guide the migration of on-prem applications to AWS or hybrid cloud environments.
• Provide technical leadership in designing cloud compute, storage, database, networking, and automation strategies aligned with enterprise security and compliance standards.
• Work closely with application teams to assess cloud readiness, recommend improvements, and implement best practices for migration, performance, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with other domain architects (Cybersecurity, Identity, Infra) to ensure secure and seamless end-to-end migrations.
• Document architectures, technical decisions, and runbooks to support successful operational handoffs.
  
  

Cloud Technology Expertise (Candidates must have strong experience with several of the following)

• Compute Services:
• EC2 (Windows & Linux)
• ECS (Elastic Container Service)
• AWS Lambda (Serverless compute)
• Storage & Databases:
• RDS (Relational Database Service)
• EFS / FSx (File storage solutions)
• Automation & Management:
• AWS SSM (Systems Manager) for automation and scalability
• Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Cloud IAM:
• Fine-grained permissions, roles, and policies
• Identity Federation and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Networking & Security:
• VPCs, Transit Gateways, NACLs, Security Groups
• Flow Logs, Subnet Architecture, and Secure Routing Practices
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture or Infrastructure Engineering
• Proven success leading cloud migrations at scale in enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of AWS well-architected framework, security best practices, and cost optimization
• Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or finance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional are a strong plus
