Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to join our Cyber Mission team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role focuses on delivering automated, reliable software using Agile and DevOps practices in a contractor facility with flexible work schedules.

Telework may be available based on tasking and customer approval. The candidate will work on multiple products that automate manual tasks to enable mission customers to focus on complex issues, leveraging Java/Spring, Docker, AWS, and modern

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field from an accredited college or university is highly desired; equivalent to two years of experience.
• Total of at least 2 years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, and debugging/resolution.
• Experience with Java/Spring/Junit.
• Experience with Git/GitLab.

Job description

Basic Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field from an accredited college or university is highly desired which will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience. NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.
• Shall have a total of at least 2 years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
• Experience with Java/Spring/Junit
• Experience with Git/GitLab

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Full Stack development with both front and back-end experience (Java/JavaScript)
• Experience with JavaScript (React or Vue.js)
• Experience with JSON
• Familiarity with Mongo DB
• Familiarity with ElasticSearch/ELK
• Familiarity with Redis
• Familiarity with Docker
• Familiarity with Docker orchestration (Swarm, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with Cloud Computing Services - Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• At least one of the following Cloud Developer Certifications is DESIRED:
