Job summary

Visionist is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance to join a mission-critical, AWS-based web platform. You will contribute to a Kotlin/React stack, support hundreds of active users, and help deploy patches in a dynamic full-stack environment from Fort Meade.

The role emphasizes DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and working with Kubernetes, Rancher, Ansible, and Terraform to maintain development environments and platform services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; 2 years extra experience may substitute degree.
• 6 years of software development experience (4 years with a Master's degree).
• Experience with Kubernetes (K8s), Rancher, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Experience with DevOps practices, tooling, and automation workflows.
• Experience standing up and maintaining development environments and platform infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Leverage Kotlin and React to develop a robust web application.
• Support a critical mission system with hundreds of active users.
• Work in a full stack AWS environment.
• Support the rapid development and deployment of patches and updates to an existing system in a dynamic role.
