Job summary

Ring, part of the Amazon Devices family, seeks a Software Development Engineer to join our Cloud Development Team. You will design, build, and operate large-scale cloud services used by millions of Ring customers, contributing to the Ring security ecosystem.

You will work on distributed systems, streaming video, event handling, and high-performance computing, with strong emphasis on engineering excellence and customer obsession.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications and services.
• 1+ years of OO design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and document distributed systems and microservices.
• Implement robust and maintainable code with documentation.
• Deliver customer value in iterative fashion while working towards longer term goals.
• Communicate status and changes to stakeholders.
• Implement test automation with unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to bring Ring technology to market.
• Maintain and enhance software frameworks.
