Job summary

Wyetech, LLC seeks a seasoned cloud software engineer to research, develop, and engineer services for federal government clients. You will analyze requirements, build applications, and integrate components across Windows/UNIX ecosystems and Hadoop-based platforms.

In addition to strong Java/C++/JavaScript skills, you will work with RO/Rails, NoSQL, and cloud services, contributing to scalable analytics while navigating security requirements and polygraph considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years programming in two of Java, C, or C++ in the last 5 years.
• At least 1 year in Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, or Pig in the last 3 years.
• Experience with RESTful services and distributed analytics.
• Security clearance: TS/SCI with agency polygraph preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-based analytics apps for federal customers.
• Perform requirements analysis, software development, installation, and integration.
• Evaluate, test, validate, and diagnose software issues.
• Configure and tune CLOUDBASE in large clusters (>200 nodes).
• Develop Restful services and scalable data analytics.
• Document data models, APIs, ontologies, and schemas.

Provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services to include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution.

• Demonstrated experience designing and developing applications in a Windows or UNIX/Linux operating environment

• Demonstrated experience with CLOUDBASE internals, to include configuring, tuning, and testing CLOUDBASE in many configurations (>200 node clusters)
• Demonstrated experience with cluster performance management (e.g. Nagios)
• Demonstrated experience with COPILOT, PRESSUREWAVE, and/or the R6 Cloud and/or the installation, configuration, and tuning of the same
• Demonstrated experience with linguistics (grammar, morphology, concepts)and/or with Rosette Base Linguistics software for Chinese and/or Arabic
• Demonstrated experience with LDAP protocol configuration and management
• Demonstrated experience developing Restful services
• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying analytics that discover and exploit social networks
• Demonstrated experience documenting ontologies, data models, schemas, formats, data element dictionaries, software application program interfaces and other technical specifications
• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying analytics within a heterogeneous schema environment

• Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with Map/Reduce and/or Hadoop, Hive, and/or Pig.
• Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
• Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification.
• Within the last seven (7) years, a minimum of five (5) years experience programming with at least two (2) of the following languages: Java, C, and/or C++.
• Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of three (3) years of experience designing and developing applications in a Windows or UNIX/Linux operating environment.
• Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of three (3) years experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, CloudBase/Accumulo, and/or Big Table.
• Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with requirements analysis and design for one (1) or more object-oriented systems.
• Demonstrated experience developing Restful services.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline; an associate's degree in computer science or related discipline and two (2) years programming experience or five (5) years programming experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
