Job summary

Applied Network Solutions, Inc. seeks a TS/SCI w/ Polygraph cleared Cloud Software Engineer for our Fort Meade, MD team.

You will provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services, including requirements analysis, development, installation, integration, testing, validation, and issue resolution. The role emphasizes containerization, Linux-based development, and collaboration across teams to deliver secure cloud native services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of programming experience in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, Go) or 7+ years building large platforms by integrating open source or commercial software with automation scripting.
• Experience designing and developing applications in a Linux environment.
• 3 years of experience with Docker.
• 2 years with Kubernetes.
• Open Source maintainer or similar substitute can apply.
• Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, RESTful web services, OAuth, Jira.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, integrate and test new features for cloud native service offerings.
• Understand versioning tools such as Git and apply containerization deployment practices.
• Conduct containerization and container deployment training sessions with hands-on exercises.

Applied Network Solutions, Inc. is seeking a TS/SCI w/ Polygraph cleared Cloud Software Engineer to join our team in Fort Meade, MD.

Position Details

This position will provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services to include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Design, implement, integrate and test new features and capabilities for cloud native service offerings.
• Understands the basics of versioning tools such as but not limited to Git.
• Conduct containerization and container deployment training sessions, which include hands-on software configuration and programming exercises.

Requirements

• With the most recent experience being no more than (1.5) years past, a minimum of seven (7) years of experience programming with at least one (1) object-oriented language, such as but not limited to Java, Python, C++ or Go, or seven (7) years of experience building large platforms by integrating open source or commercial software together with automation scripting.
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing applications in a Linux operating environment.
• Three (3) years functional experience with containerization technologies like Docker
• Two (2) years functional experience deploying applications to container orchestration technologies such as but not limited to Kubernetes
• An additional two (2) years of experience may be substituted for all minimum requires listed above with an active Certified Kubernetes Application Developer status. This may be stacked with active CKA status.
• An additional two (2) years of experience may be substituted for all minimum requires listed above with an active Certified Kubernetes Administrator status. This may be stacked with active CKA status.
• An additional six (6) months of experience may be substituted for all minimum requires listed above with a status of an Open Source project maintainer in open industry.

Additional Requirements

• Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Recoil, Material UI, REACT, Front End HTML/CSS, RESTFUL Web Service, OAUTH Token auth flows, Jira or similar
