Job summary

Amazon’s Software Development Apprenticeship Program invites aspiring individuals, including veterans, service members, and spouses, to gain hands-on cloud computing experience. Apprentices will receive on-the-job training, internal AWS instruction, and industry certifications to build software development skills.

The 12-month program includes mentorship, benchmarking, and potential conversion to a Software Development Engineer role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with recent conferral date or expected conferral date within the specified window.
• Alternatively, graduate of specified programs with degree or relevant experience as outlined.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 12-month on-the-job training combining AWS internal training with shadow opportunities and industry-recognized certifications.
• Develop software development skills and potentially join AWS as a Software Development Engineer upon apprenticeship completion.
• Meet benchmarks for compensation increases, conversions, or termination based on performance and milestones.
• Contribute to cloud computing projects and learn under the leadership principles guiding AWS teams.
