Job summary

Palo Alto Networks, Inc. is seeking a Domain Consultant for cloud native security.

You will define technical solutions that secure a customer’s key business imperatives and evangelize our cloud security offerings to position the company as the cybersecurity partner of choice. You will collaborate with account teams, present to diverse customer audiences, and lead PoV projects to ensure technical wins while aligning solutions with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years technical sales or equivalent experience highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience using IaC software tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, GCP Deployment Manager etc) and CI/CD tools (IDEs, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc).
• Experience with Alicloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform and Oracle Cloud configuration and administration of security features and services (IAM, networking, firewalls, encryption).
• Deep experience in cloud security areas such as Shift Left, CSPM, CWP, KSPM, CIEM, DSPM, AI-SPM.
• Understanding of container and container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Field sales position with travel may be required; discuss specifics with recruiter.
• Proficient in English

• Discuss product alignment with customer requirements and differentiation.
• Architect solutions to strengthen security posture for customers.
• Document High-Level Design and Use Cases for value realization.
• Help customers build additional services around Prisma Cloud.
• Lead discussions on industry trends and security landscape changes.
• Position Palo Alto Networks services as appropriate for proper implementation.
• Initiate projects to improve team performance and adopt organizational policies.
• Channel customer feedback to Product Management and R&D to drive features.

As a Domain Consultant for cloud native security, you will play a key role in defining technical solutions that secure a customer’s key business imperatives. You evangelize our industry leading solutions in cloud security that establish Palo Alto Networks as a customer’s cybersecurity partner of choice.

Your Impact

• Collaborate with account teams to recommend and develop customer solutions within your assigned specialization area

• Present to customers as our expert at all levels in the customer hierarchy, from practitioner to senior leadership

• As the main technical point of contact for Cloud Security, you will assist and collaborate to respond effectively to RFIs/RFPs.

• Lead and support customer demonstrations that showcase our unique value proposition

• Scope and lead Proof of Value (PoV) projects for prospective customers and partners based on best practices to ensure technical win in your assigned opportunities

• Drive high technical validation and PoV win rates within your assigned specialization area

• Responsible for discussing and highlighting product alignment with customer requirements and differentiation

• Architect solutions that will help our customers strengthen and simplify their security posture

• Accelerate technical validation of proposed solutions within your specialization

• Document High-Level Design and Key Use Cases to ensure proper implementation and value realization of Palo Alto Networks Solutions

• Help our customers build and develop further their services around Prisma Cloud

• Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape

• Discuss, with credibility, competitive offers in the marketplace and position ours as the best alternative

• Position Palo Alto Networks or Partner delivered services as appropriate to ensure proper implementation and value realization of Palo Alto Networks solutions

• Initiate projects to improve individual team’s performance

• Implement organizational policies & help others adopt

• Act as a conduit for customer feedback to Product Management, Technical Marketing, competitor intelligence, and R&D to create requirements and deliver product features for our customers

Qualifications

Your Experience

• 6+years technical sales or equivalent experience highly preferred

• Hands-on experience using IaC software tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, GCP Cloud Deployment Manager etc) and CI/CD tools (IDEs, GitLab, GitHuB, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.)

• Experience with Alicloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform and Oracle Cloud configuration and administration of security features and services (including identity and access management, networking, firewalls, encryption)

• Deep experience in one or more cloud security areas such as Shift Left, CSPM, CWP, KSPM, CIEM, DSPM, AI-SPMBackground in security domain or cloud security highly preferred

• Understanding of container and container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift

• This is a field sales position where travel requirements may be required to support in person customer meetings, please discuss with the recruiter on the specifics for this position.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below.
