Syncreon Consulting is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer responsible for maintaining the security of cloud infrastructure by identifying, characterizing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure security best practices during the design, testing, and deployment of cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify and assess security risks in cloud infrastructure, and develop remediation plans.
2. Collaborate with cloud engineers and vendors to implement automated vulnerability management solutions.
3. Conduct security audits and assessments of cloud environments.
4. Utilize security tools such as Ankor, Tenable, and Checkpoint Software to detect and resolve vulnerabilities.
5. Work with internal teams to integrate security measures into cloud deployments.
6. Monitor security alerts within cloud environments using industry-standard tools.
7. Assist in transitioning to Red Hat OpenShift, ensuring security practices are aligned.
8. Provide guidance on security implications of automation and cloud infrastructure management.

Must Have Skills:

• Extensive experience in cloud security and familiarity with cloud security tools.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenStack, and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools like Ankor, Tenable, and Checkpoint Software.
• Proficiency with security monitoring tools and performance optimization.
• Strong collaboration skills with internal teams and vendors.
• Knowledge of automated vulnerability reporting and remediation methods.

Good to Have Skills:

• Familiarity with IMS and VoIP technologies.
• Experience with cloud performance and security monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automating security tasks.
