Job summary

CDM Smith in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Cyber Engineer to support its Continuous Threat Exposure Management journey. You will identify, track, and verify remediation of vulnerabilities across internal and external applications and systems, collaborating with IT infrastructure, development, and security operations teams to reduce risk and attack surface.

This role requires broad security and systems knowledge across SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS, plus hands‑on scripting and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8 years of related cybersecurity/IT experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure, resilient enterprise‑grade cloud & on‑prem processes in tandem with architects and system engineers.
• Lead vulnerability management and collaboration with technology leadership and business units to secure company digital assets.
• Attend regular technical project and implementation meetings and serve as the security consultant to help guide secure configurations.
• Monitor threat landscape and implement initiatives to reduce attack surface.
