Job summary

Byte Systems, a VTG subsidiary, is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement and monitor cloud security across enterprise environments. You will leverage AWS, Azure or Oracle, develop automation scripts in Python, and tune Splunk for cloud-based detections.

You will mentor junior staff, contribute to CSOC playbooks, and stay current with AI trends in cloud security while driving improvements and incident response readiness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cloud security or cyber operations.
• 7+ years of experience with OS, networks, security principles or system architecture.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or Oracle.
• 3+ years of experience coding in Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, architecture, and implementation of cloud security monitoring systems at enterprise scale.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools using Python or similar languages.
• Design and implement automated incident response playbooks to streamline CSOC processes.
• Collaborate with CSOC team members; mentor junior staff; plan cyber exercises and drills; prepare training materials.
