Interclypse, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

You will drive CSPM tooling, enforce security standards, and advise agency development teams on secure cloud adoption and architecture. The role requires 8+ years IT experience with cloud or cybersecurity, 5+ years securing large-scale enterprises, and cloud certifications such as AWS Security Specialty or Azure Security Engineer.

Qualifications

Position Summary

Designs, implements, and manages security for the cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Is responsible for the effective design, implementation, and continuous optimization of cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools and other cloud-native security services. Develops and enforces cloud security standards and provides expert guidance to agency development teams on secure cloud adoption and architecture.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is preferred.

General Experience: At least eight (8) years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud computing or cybersecurity.

Specialized Experience: At least five (5) years of hands-on experience architecting and securing large-scale enterprise environments in AWS, Azure, and GCP. Must hold one or more relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) and have expert-level knowledge of infrastructure-as-code, container security, and CI/CD pipeline security.
