Job summary

Interclypse, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and monitor security for customer cloud environments.

You will collaborate with development teams to enforce secure configurations and remediate vulnerabilities while maintaining CSPM tools and cloud-native security services. The role requires a minimum of five years in IT with a focus on cloud security, and hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, plus IaC skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience with cloud or cybersecurity.
• 3+ years securing enterprise environments in AWS or Azure.

Interclypse is supporting several Maryland state agencies in the modernization and sustainment of critical systems. All positions are required to be on-site at various locations in Maryland.

Position Summary

Implements, manages, and monitors security for the customer's cloud environments. Is responsible for configuring and maintaining cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools and other cloud-native security services. Works with development teams to implement secure configurations and remediate identified vulnerabilities in the cloud.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is preferred.

General Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud computing or cybersecurity.

Specialized Experience

• At least three (3) years of hands‑on experience securing enterprise environments in AWS or Azure.
• Must have experience with infrastructure-as-code and hold at least one cloud security certification (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate).
