Job summary

Gifthealth is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across our cloud environments. You will partner with Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps, IAM, and Security teams to build secure cloud architectures, automate controls, and improve our cloud security posture.

The role focuses on securing AWS, Heroku-based platforms, and data services like Snowflake/BigQuery, with emphasis on least-privilege access, logging, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud security, or a related field.
• Experience securing hybrid cloud environments (AWS and external platforms like Heroku or Snowflake).
• Familiarity with IAM, networking, encryption, logging, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure cloud architectures and implement cloud security controls.
• Identify insecure configurations and enforce least-privilege access models.
• Develop and automate cloud security guardrails and detections.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps, and Security teams to secure workloads across AWS and Heroku/Snowflake boundaries.
• Support vulnerability management and incident response for cloud environments.
