Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking passionate software developers to join AWS Shield and help defend cloud infrastructure against DDoS attacks.

You’ll design next-generation security architectures and build scalable services that detect and mitigate threats in real time. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across research, DDoS response, and Infrastructure Services to deliver high-availability solutions while maintaining low cost.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience on scalable systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience with at least one programming language (C++, Java, C#, Perl).

Responsibilities

• Design the future of AWS security architecture.
• This position focuses on architecting next-generation protection mechanisms against attacks.
• Work on existing and greenfield projects shaping detection, mitigation, and prevention at scale.
• Collaborate with research and DDoS response teams to stop Layer 3/4 and Layer 7 attacks.
