Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for AWS Shield within Perimeter Protection. You will help design and implement security architectures at internet scale, tackling defense for AWS infrastructure and customer traffic.

You will collaborate across research and DDoS response teams to mitigate attacks in real time while working on both new and existing protection mechanisms that impact global infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new or existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one language.

Responsibilities

• Design the future of AWS security architecture.
• Architect next generation protection mechanisms for AWS and customers.
• Work on both existing and greenfield projects for real-time attack detection and mitigation at scale.
• Collaborate across research and DDoS response teams to stop Layer 3/4 and Layer 7 attacks.
