Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen our Information Security team. In-office role focusing on securing cloud environments, IAM, PAM, DLP, and AI governance across the organization.

You will collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement security controls and improve the company’s security posture. The role emphasizes threat modeling, security assessments, and governance for AI-enabled solutions, with a strong emphasis on risk reduction and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud security, IAM, information security in enterprise environments.
• Professional security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Security+).
• Experience designing and supporting security controls in Azure, AWS, or other clouds.
• Hands-on IAM technologies including authentication, authorization, SSO, federation.
• Experience with PAM solutions and privileged account governance.
• Experience implementing and managing DLP and data governance across cloud and endpoints.
• Knowledge of AI security concepts, governance, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing cloud infrastructure to understand risks and outcomes of decisions.
• Lead IAM initiatives including authentication, authorization, PAM, conditional access, and governance.
• Develop and maintain DLP controls to protect data across cloud services, endpoints, and AI apps.
• Design, implement, and manage PAM solutions including lifecycle management and just-in-time access.
• Establish security policies and governance for AI technologies requiring authentication and monitoring.
• Track cloud application vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation with development teams.
• Perform threat modeling, security assessments, and architecture reviews for cloud services and AI deployments.
• Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate security controls.
• Participate in tabletop exercises to test incident response plans.
• Support compliance, audit, and risk management through documentation and standards.
