Job summary

Leadout Capital is seeking a Software Security Engineer to strengthen our GCP‑based security posture across distributed microservices. You will build high‑performance security tools, automate CI/CD security checks, and lead vulnerability management from discovery to remediation.

You will collaborate with DevOps and product teams on threat modeling, architecture reviews, and audits such as SOC2 and ISO 27001. Strong Go/Java/Python skills and Terraform expertise are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years for SMTS, 7+ years for LMTS; 9+ years for PMTS in Security Engineering.
• Strong experience in Go, Java, or Python with a solid grasp of OOP and automation.
• Deep experience with GCP (similar) and Terraform for managing cloud security posture.
• Hands-on with security tooling: SAST/DAST, SCA, SIEM.
• Experience securing distributed microservices architectures and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps and Product teams.

Responsibilities

• Security Engineering & Automation: Build and integrate high-performance security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and secure Terraform templates to harden cloud infra.
• Vulnerability Leadership: Lead end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle across network, cloud, and app layers.
• Architecture & Threat Modeling: Conduct threat modeling and architecture reviews with DevOps/Product teams.
• Compliance & Governance: Lead audits (SOC2, ISO 27001) with automated evidence delivery.
• Production Resilience: Troubleshoot and resolve security issues in production with modern monitoring.
