Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Software Security Engineer to join the GCP team, focusing on securing distributed micro-services and automating cloud security within the Agentforce ecosystem.

You will build security tooling, lead vulnerability lifecycle, and collaborate with DevOps to embed security into the SDLC, leveraging Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes in a large-scale cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years for SMTS, 7+ years for LMTS; 9+ years for PMTS in Security Engineering with a focus on building tools.
• Strong experience in Go, Java, or Python with a solid grasp of OOP and automation.
• Deep experience with GCP (or similar) and Terraform for managing cloud security posture.
• Security domain knowledge: networks, OS hardening, and modern attack vectors.

Responsibilities

• Security Engineering & Automation: build and integrate high-performance security tools and scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): develop and secure Terraform templates to harden cloud infrastructure.
• Vulnerability Leadership: lead end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle with risk-based prioritization.
• Architecture & Threat Modeling: partner with DevOps and Product teams for threat modeling and reviews.
• Compliance & Governance: lead audits (SOC2, ISO 27001) with automated evidence collection.
• Production Resilience: troubleshoot security issues in production using distributed tracing and monitoring.
