Job summary

ICF International is seeking an experienced Software Security Engineer to lead mission-critical security initiatives for DoD programs. The role is remote, with expected quarterly travel to client sites, and strict adherence to security controls and DoD requirements.

You will guide secure coding, conduct reviews, and mentor development teams while coordinating with government stakeholders. A Top Secret clearance and 5+ years in security engineering are required for this position.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• 5+ years in application security or cybersecurity engineering.
• Experience with secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and assess application and system security to identify vulnerabilities.
• Perform secure code reviews and static/dynamic analysis to enforce secure coding standards.
• Test and evaluate security tools, applications, and configurations for federal/DoD requirements.
• Investigate and remediate vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Design and implement security controls, tools, and automation for cloud and on-prem environments.
• Provide guidance on secure coding practices and DevSecOps to development teams.
• Maintain documentation on security architecture, risk findings, and mitigations.
• Prepare executive briefings and status updates to government stakeholders and leadership.
