Job summary

Tapestry Solutions, a Boeing Company, is seeking a Security Software Engineer in Swansea, IL or Mascoutah, IL to provide security engineering support for the GDSS program in an AWS environment. The role requires a U.S.

Secret Clearance, a bachelor's degree, and security certifications, with emphasis on secure development practices and vulnerability remediation. The role engages with DevOps, engineering, and compliance teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD and maintain cloud security

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• 5+ years of experience implementing and sustaining secure development practices and operations, including scanning and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate efforts to address quarterly STIGs and plans of action for compliance.
• Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and compliance teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in AWS environments.
• Monitor Nessus scan results and coordinate remediation and burndown of findings.
• Monitor cloud security posture using AWS-native tools and Trend Micro Deep Security.
• Implement and enforce AWS security best practices per policy and standards.
• Manage IAM, security groups, and network ACLs in AWS environments.
• Design, deploy, and manage encryption for data at rest and in transit in AWS.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud security architecture and procedures.
• Stay current with emerging cloud security threats and trends.
