Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior II Security Compliance Specialist to drive security compliance across global cloud infrastructure and delivery services.

You will guide engineers, lead audit readiness, and implement scalable control improvements across our environment. Responsibilities include leading assessments, translating standards into actionable guidance, evaluating architectures and controls, and directing cross-functional remediation.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience
• Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or NIST
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, identity management, network security, and vulnerability management
• Solid analytical, stakeholder management, and cross-functional communication skills
• Familiar with compliance automation tools and cloud service provider environments
• Experience coordinating multi-organization audit evidence collection and external assessments

Responsibilities

• Leading compliance assessments and readiness activities across cloud computing platforms and delivery services
• Translating regulatory standards into actionable guidance for technical architecture and engineering teams
• Evaluating architectures, control designs, and operational effectiveness against benchmarks
• Conducting risk assessments and directing cross-functional remediation efforts
• Developing security compliance playbooks, implementation documentation, and automated monitoring
• Mentoring team members and representing the organization during external certification audits
